News from Witt Baptist Church

Kenya Trip, Nov. 18, 2025

I am thankful for the school’s chapel services.  Today’s speaker was Moses.  He spoke to all of us but especially to the students who will soon graduate.  His message was very encouraging and inspirational!  His text was taken from  2 Timothy 4:1-5.

Moses and I have spent some time getting to know one another and we have become friends. Moses and his family became christians after they met Southern Baptist Missionaries Davis and Mary Saunders.  In fact, Moses told me that Davis baptized him and taught him in Sunday School.  Davis and his wife came to East Africa in the early 1960s and were instrumental in establishing Churches and Bible Schools.

Your regular gifts as well as your Lottie Moon Christmas Offering helped to support Davis and Mary and have born fruit in the life of Moses and his family as well as in this school where I am teaching now. Thank you for being faithful to give throughout these many years!

Also, thank you for your prayers and support as I am teaching, I can feel your prayers.  I miss you and will see you soon!

2 Timothy 4:1-5
1 I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: 2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. 5 But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.  2 Timothy 4:1-5
