Yesterday, our class had a very good discussion regarding the pressures that pastors face in our ever changing cultures. One of scriptures we discussed was 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 and we talked about “finishing well” in our walk with God, our ministries and with our physical health. We talked of the importance of physical exercise. When I was leaving the school building the students invited me to play volleyball with them. They said “we are putting our discussion into practice”. We had so much fun. I have attached a photo taken after our game.
Thanks again for your support and prayers. I miss you and look forward to seeing you.
1 Co 9:24–27
24 Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. 25 And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. 26 Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. 27 But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified
